PROF 223 - Becoming a Master Tutor III 1 s.h.


This discussion and practice course is designed to prepare students to tutor their peers effectively. Topics of study are reading and writing processes, metacognition, critical thinking, task analysis, critical reading strategies, revision, and proofreading strategies. This course is for tutors employed by or seeking employment by the Center for Academic Development and enrichment. Students should enroll in as many Becoming a Master Tutor mini courses in a semester as possible (but only one at a time) to complete the series (PROF 221 , PROF 222 , 223) within one or two semesters.
