All 1000 level coursework must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
Professional Education Sequence: 25 s.h.
Student Teaching: 15 s.h.

Dragon Academy (General Education) Coursework
Select coursework to complete each general education area that is listed below. All other Dragon Academy areas are met through major required coursework.
Scientific Reasoning: 3-4 s.h.
- Any Science course with an NSCI attribute
Humanities: 3 s.h.
- Any course with an HUMA attribute (Spanish concentrations will take SPAN 3508 .)
The Arts: 3 s.h.
- Any Arts with an ARTS attribute
U.S. History & Civic Engagement: 3 s.h.
- Any course with a UHCE attribute (Social Studies concentrations will take POLS 1210 .)
World History & Global Awareness: 3 s.h.
- Any coures with a WHGA attribute (Social Studies concentrations will take POLS 1710 .)
Foreign Language: 0-6 s.h.
- Any Foreign Language at the 1002 level or higher ~OR~ meeting the education foreign language requirement in related work via a proficiency score of 250 or higher
Red Dragon Seminar: 3 s.h.
Concentration: 30 s.h.

Liberal Arts Concentration: 31-33 s.h.
Liberal Arts Concentration courses may not overlap with General Education coursework. Students must complete a minimum of 18 s.h. of upper division credit in the concentration.
- MATH 1050 - Pre-calculus 4 s.h. or a course above, excluding MATH 1080 and MATH 1081 , or STAT 1010
- HISA 3366 - History of New York State 3 s.h.
- Science - from ASTR, BIOL, CHEM, ENSS, ESCI, GEOL, METR, NUTR, or PHYS 3-4 s.h.
- 2000 level or higher Science 3-4 s.h.
- Any POLS 3 s.h.
- Any ANTH, ECON, GEOG, or SOC 3 s.h.
- Any two 2000 level or higher ARTH, ARTS, CART, COMM, DANC, MDIA, MUSC, or THTR 6 s.h.
- Any 2000 level or higher ALIT, ELIT, LITR, or WLIT 3 s.h.
