SPED 5070 - Foundations and Research in Special Education 3 s.h.


This course covers the historical evolution of research and practice in special education and on the broader context of American public education. Topics will include data collection tools, analysis, perspectives, and theoretical interpretations in the research process. Students will conduct an academic research project, with a focus on single-subject design. Students will employ a variety of technological tools when conducting research and presenting findings. Students will also be expected to participate in university-community activities to advocate for students with disabilities. A-E Only. Offered once a year.
Prerequisite(s): GrS, SPED 5008  and SPED 5010 .
