BIOL 3012 - Biology Mentoring in Practice 1 s.h. - 2 s.h.


This course is intended to provide you with support and accountability while being a peer mentor for other Biology majors. You will be a part of a community of mentors who discuss, debate, trouble-shoot, and share experiences related to their mentorship role. You will also actively work with your assigned mentees and will utilize and practice the mentoring and communication skills obtained in the Biology Mentor Training course. Through this experience you will improve your confidence in academic and social contexts, refine your leadership abilities, and connect and contribute to the campus community by empowering others to succeed. Pass/Fail Only. Course may be repeated three times for credit. Offered every semester.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2012  and permission of instructor.
