ELIT 3053 - Major Author in British Literature 3 s.h.

This variable-topic course will focus on one or two prominent authors in British literature, their cultural and historical context, and their place in and influence on British literature. Authors studied might include figures like Edmund Spencer, Eliza Haywood, Laurence Sterne, the Shelleys, Thomas Hardy, W. H. Auden & Christopher Isherwood, Philip Larkin, Jackie Kay, etc. Pass/Fail Option. May be repeated for up to 6 s.h. as long as different authors are taught in each course. Offered every 2-3 years.
