HISA 3710 - African Americans of Broadway and Hollywood 3 s.h.

The course examines a history of African American entertainers of Broadway and Hollywood and how said entertainers used their platform to introduce and/or expand political, social, and cultural discourse on African American life in the United States in the 20^th and 21^st centuries. Students learn how to analyze and interpret plays, films, and television shows as source material to create original scholarship that addresses historical and contemporary intersectional politics. A-E Only. Offered irregularly.
