HISA 3709 - Black and Jewish Alliances in American History 3 s.h. African Americans and Jewish peoples have a distinct, yet overlapping history. This course explores the complex history of the African American and Jewish alliance in their fight for equality, justice, and civil rights in the United States and how said alliance splintered in the post-racial, post-Civil Rights era. A-E Only. Offered every two years. LA Prerequisite(s): SoS or 3 s.h. lower division HIST course.
