PHIL 1310 - Welcome to Arguments 1 s.h.

The goal of this course is to provide you with some tools for thinking carefully and thinking well. To do this, you will be introduced to arguments, both formal and informal, and reasoning. Tools you should acquire include an understanding of the nature of arguments, the ability to understand, evaluate and create arguments, and the ability to employ arguments to support good reasoning. The class will consider both theoretical and practical reasoning. Pass/Fail Option. Offered annually.
