ECON 3236 - Life and Health Insurance 3 s.h. A study of life and health insurance policies as individual, family, and company programs to provide for beneficiaries and employees, retirement and health care needs. Examines the structure of the industry, underwriting, reserves, surpluses, marketing, estate planning, retirement plans, qualified and non-qualified deferred compensation plans, group insurance, social insurance, and governmental regulation. Pass/Fail Option. Offered irregularly. Prerequisite(s): SoS, ECON 1111 and 3 s.h. ACCT or BUS.
