Teaches the basic elements of successful dramatic narratives through the writing of short screenplays that can be produced on a limited budget. Places screenwriting in the context of beginning a career as a writer and/or director. Emphasizes story concept, dramatic structure, character development, dialogue, and visual storytelling.
