GEOG 2039 - Digital Earth 3 s.h. This course is designed to introduce students to the multiple tools and resources used to model, map, and visualize our world and the distribution of both physical and human phenomena. Students will be introduced to certain popular geospatial technologies like geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), and remote sensing (RS). Additionally, students will learn about the social dimensions of these technologies, including questions of privacy, data accuracy, surveillance, spatial analysis. A-E Only. Offered every other year. Prerequisite(s): SoS or GEOG 1000 .
