POLS 3530 - Immigration and Citizenship 3 s.h.


Explores the causes and consequences of global migration, how governments regulate it, and how it transforms our ideas or citizenship. Migration contributes to development in both host and home countries and at the same time is the root of much political controversy. This course examines tools for immigration control, migrant integration and refugee resettlement, and naturalization and citizenship policies, as well as the challenges of undocumented migration, climate change, and border control. A-E Only. Offered annually.
