CHEM 4232 - Advanced Organic Chemistry 3 s.h.

The study of advanced organic chemistry topics, including organic reactions, the study of mechanisms, and syntheses of biologically active molecules. In addition, organic chemistry structure-function relationships will be discussed. Potential tie-ins will be based on student interest, but may include: how drugs are designed, food chemistry, etc. Laboratory will focus on advanced separation and identification techniques. Pass/Fail Option.
