SPAN 4013 - Survey of Latin American Literature 3 s.h.

Traces the development of Latin American literature from colonial through modern times, stressing significant writers and trends, and will cover the literature of the conquest, colonial times, the struggle for independence, modernism, realism, magical realism, and the contemporary period. Course will be conducted in Spanish, and essays of 6-8pp will be required. Pass/Fail Option. Offered Spring only.
