SOC 4097 - Field Experiences in Sociology 1 s.h. - 15 s.h.


Immersive study of social organizational structure and function in particular field settings, emphasizing experiential learning. Possible settings include community-based organizations, government agencies, criminal justice organizations, research centers/institutes, and human services agencies. Settings may be on or off campus, in the local community or region, or in distant locations by arrangement. Approximately 40 hours of field experience per credit hour. Pass/Fail Only. Offered every semester.
Prerequisite(s): JrS; students must meet minimum university-wide requirements and 3 s.h. of 3000-level or above SOC.
