An introduction to mapmaking. Lectures cover the history of cartography, cartographic theory, map type and design, data collection and analysis procedures, coordinate systems, projections, and map reading and interpretation. Laboratory exercises related to the above topics will be undertaken. Pass/Fail Option. LA Prerequisite(s):SoS or GEOG 1000.
