CNED 604 - Developmental Counseling 3 s.h. A survey of the school counseling services and their implementation in the school setting. Emphasis is placed on preparing candidates to design, assess, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling core curriculum that is data-driven, developmentally appropriate and sensitive to diverse needs of students. Candidates will develop a prevention curriculum to promote equity in student access and achievement. Social justice and advocacy are also explored through identifying services that are needed for underserved populations and/or at risk students. A-E Only. Offered annually. Prerequisite(s): SCNS or SCHC Graduate Degree student status or permission of department chair with minimum of CNED 500 , EPSY 530 , CNED 540 , CNED 541 .
