PSYC 338 - Seminar in Evolutionary Psychology 3 s.h.


An interdisciplinary approach to psychology focused on identifying psychological adaptations, which represent specialized mental characteristics that evolved via natural selection to provide solutions to problems encountered during human evolutionary history, and the implications of these evolved mechanisms in our modern world. Students will read and discuss the primary literature on a weekly basis. Offered once or twice each year.
Prerequisite(s): “C” or better in PSYC 100 , PSYC 221 , PSYC 222 , and PSYC 238 .
