CRJ 4261 - Police Organization and Community Relations 0 s.h. - 5 s.h.

Examines the role of police in a democratic society, emphasizing professionalism, ethics, communication, diversity, and community relations. Students develop skills in procedural justice, crisis communication, and community engagement consistent with DCJS Phase I academy standards. This course is offered as part of a law enforcement academy experience and requires instructor permission. Pass/Fail Only. Offered annually. 
Prerequisite(s): Instructor permission required. 
Corequisite(s): CRJ 4262  and CRJ 4263 .
