GEOG 2039 - GIS: Introduction and Digital Earth 3 s.h. This course introduces the multiple tools and resources that model, map, and visualize our world and the distribution of both physical and human phenomena. Applies geospatial technologies, including geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), and remote sensing (RS). Examines the social dimensions of these technologies, including questions of privacy, data accuracy, surveillance, and spatial analysis. A-E Only. Offered annually.
