PSYC 3001 - Research Methods in Psychology II 3 s.h. Students design research projects, culminating in a multi-draft formal APA style research report. Topics covered include: ethics, simple between-groups experimental research designs, two group designs, within-subject and between-group designs, designs with more than two levels of a single independent variable, factorial designs with two or more independent variables, designs involving multiple dependent variables, and a range of quasi-experimental designs. Related statistical concepts include correlation, multiple regression. Statistical analysis and their application to research designs are covered. Note that a “C” or better in both PSYC 3000, and COMP 1000 are required before students can enroll in the course. A-E Only. Offered Fall and Spring. LA Prerequisite(s): PSYC 1000 ”C” or better, PSYC 3000 ”C” or better, and COMP 1000 ”C” or better.
