CRJ 5005 - Theories of Crime & Community 3 s.h. This course explores diverse theories that have historically developed to explain the causes and explanation of crime and criminal behavior. We will examine the underlying logic and assumptions of theories of crime and assess their contribution by focusing on the micro, meso, and macro levels of society. Offered annually. Prerequisite(s): CRJ 5000 or taken concurrently.
