CNED 5240 - Economic and Workforce Data for High School Counselors 3 s.h.

This is the first of two courses comprising the College and Career Counseling Advance Skills Micro-credential. Counselors and educators who complete this course will learn to use key labor market data sources for the region and state. In the process they will gain industry knowledge and plan ways of incorporating their expanded understanding of current job market trends and projections into their daily counseling practices. Developing their data skills and facility in using data in their counseling practices will enable school counselors and educators to better support high school students in exploring different career and educational paths, and designing action plans for pursuing vocational training, community college and four-year college opportunities.
