BIOL 6800 - Advanced Bioinformatics 4 s.h.

This course will cover the most essential and basic computing skills for modern biologists such as Excel usage, command-line computing, introduction to programming languages such as R, Python, and bash, as well as how to access and use High Performance Computer clusters. Emphasis will be on processing biological data via hands-on computer work, problem solving, data handling, and constructing reusable bioinformatic workflows. However, this course is designed for any student interested in working with data! A-E only. Offered odd-year spring semesters.
