ANTH 3306 - Global Health in Anthropological Perspective 3 s.h.

In this course, we will take an anthropological perspective to critically engage with cultural, social, political, and economic dimensions of Global Health in the 21st century.  We will explore questions about what (and who) is considered the subject of global health endeavors. Who specifies the questions and priorities within global health research and practice?  How do global disparities of power and wealth result in disparities of health experiences and outcomes for people across the planet? As our planet warms, what will be the direct and indirect health consequences for human health around the globe? A-E only. Offered every two years.
