GEOL 2098 - Professional Geologist Licensure Seminar 1 s.h.

An overview of the requirements of the Professional Geologists Licensure in the state of New York. Students will learn about the goals, process, and benefits of becoming a licensed Professional Geologist. There will be a review of the ASBOG® (Association of State Boards of Geology) exams, specially focusing on the Fundamentals of Geology exam. The seminar will include guest lectures from alumni who have a Professional Geologist licensure. Students will be assessed through a presentation of a case study and written reflections based on the content. A-E only. Offered every other year.
