EPSY 4000 - Mental Health in Schools 3 s.h.

This course provides an introduction to supporting students’ mental health and well-being in the PK–12 setting, with an emphasis on NYSED’s mental health literacy framework, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and the training and professional roles of various mental health professionals employed in the school setting. This course also provides an overview of common mental health problems, including prevalence, early signs and symptoms of common mental health problems, and risk factors impacting mental health. A-E only. Offered Spring only.
