HIST 3100 - Exhibiting Gender, Race and Social Class 3 s.h. This course examines the vital role of history in the creation of museum exhibits centered on and engaging with issues of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, and social class. This class focuses on how to ethically and historically place objects within their historical contexts and to use material history to engage with the past and contemporary society and critically analyze current museum practices of exhibiting on these themes. A-E Only. Offered annually. Prerequisite(s): SoS or 3 s.h. lower division HIST course.
