GEOL 3030 - Paleoclimatology 3 s.h.

Discovery of the climate system through an exploration of the major climatic events in Earth’s geological past with attention on the feedbacks among the land, atmosphere, and ocean. Evaluate the paleoclimate proxies, like ice cores and planktonic marine organisms, used to reconstruct Earth’s past climates. Gain experience synthesizing the primary literature on paleoclimatology.
