GEOG 3116 - GIS: Environmental Applications 3 s.h.


This course explores GIS methods for analyzing and visualizing environmental issues. Students will learn to use GIS to assess and resolve problems in urban and rural contexts, such as natural hazards, pollution, land use changes, and environmental justice. The course covers data acquisition, modeling, and spatial analysis techniques, emphasizing practical applications for local and global challenges like climate change. Students will develop research questions, apply methods, and perform analyses.  Pass/Fail Option.
