EDUC 4022 - Social Studies and the Arts 3 s.h.

Students will explore the New York State K-8 Social Studies Framework to gain insights into key concepts, content knowledge, the Social Studies Practices, and thematic breakdown by grade level. They will also learn strategies to incorporate the arts into social studies education. In addition, students will design a field trip experience and create Problem-Based Learning activities focused on Global Literacy. This course includes a field practicum. Must be taken concurrently with EDUC 4020, EDUC 4036, EDUC 4040, EDUC 4060. A-E Only. Offered Fall and Spring.
