CNED 5220 - Career Development 3 s.h.


A study of the major theories and models of career development and choice, with an emphasis on a developmental approach to career guidance and counseling in educational settings. The nature and value of work, occupational requirements and labor trends, assessment and career counseling activities and techniques are examined. The course also reviews the career development needs and characteristics of special populations of clients. Students will be required to develop the professional background section of their portfolio in this class. A-E Only.
Prerequisite(s): SCNS Degree student status or permission of department chair.
