EDUC 3001 - Diversity and Teaching 3 s.h. This course is designed to give prospective teachers (N-12) the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to understand the impact of diversity on today’s schools, work effectively, with diverse populations, integrate cultural diversity into the curriculum and use the understanding of diverse students to enhance learning. A field experience component is included. New York State Education Department fingerprinting is a required component of this course and must be completed and passed prior to entry into this class. A-E Only. Offered Fall and Spring. LA Prerequisite(s): Open to Education majors only, SoS, EDUC 1060 with a grade of “C” or better.
