 | CNED 563 - Teaching ProSocial Skills to Youth 3 s.h. This course is intended to be an advanced group counseling course. It provides students with the expertise needed to develop curriculum for pro-social skill development, a greater understanding of group work from an educational support model. Most youth with social problems referred to the school counselor would benefit from having a social milieu in which to address areas of deficit and to practice new skills. Research has shown that for students to transfer learning from the therapeutic environment of a group or counseling experience into the broader educational world, more attention needs to be given to models which specifically address transfer of training and recruitment of supportive models. A-E Only.
Prerequisite(s): SCNS or SCHC Degree student status and completion of CNED 541  and CNED 560 , or permission of department chair.
