This course is designed to introduce students to urban studies. The history of cities, contemporary urban problems, political economy, and urban ecology are important components of this class. The central theme of the course is how cities are responding to the challenges of economic restructuring, crime, and decreased revenues. A-E Only. LA SUSF Prerequisite(s):SOC 209.
