An introduction to the discipline of exercise science; including the history of the field, the concepts of exercise science, the current position standards of national agencies, and the responsibilities and roles of exercise science students within the profession. An examination of the field of exercise science also includes an examination of career options and settings for professional practice, ethics, certification and licensure, and professionalism.
