HISC 580 - American Music 3 s.h.


This course examines selected topics in American music history from the colonial period to the present. Students will connect developments in music to broader currents in social and cultural history. They will also conceptualize innovative ways for museums to incorporate music and soundscapes into exhibitions, programs, and digital initiatives. A-E Only. Offered every other year.
Prerequisite(s): Permission of the instructor and the director is required for students not enrolled in CGP.
