BIOL 181 - Biology II: Ecology and Evolution 4 s.h. This course covers the causes and consequences of evolution with examples selected from across the range of living organisms. Topics include an introduction to systematics, evolution, natural and sexual selection, behavioral ecology, energy flow through trophic levels, the ecological forces that act on populations, and organization of communities and ecosystems. The 2-hour laboratory will develop analytic skills using the scientific method, often with live specimens. A-E Only. Offered Fall and Spring. LA Prerequisite(s): BIOL 180 or ENVS 101 or ENVS 110 .
