NUTR 550 - Nutrition Assessment and Intervention 3 s.h. Application of the national nutrition care process model - including nutrition assessment and institution-specific assessment practices; nutrition diagnosis; nutrition intervention; monitoring, evaluation, and outcomes assessment in a variety of patient care settings. Use of various methods for assessing nutrition education needs; developing appropriate objectives for educating various clients; planning, preparing, and presenting nutrition and/ or food related lessons; evaluating the content and objectives of various electronic and print materials as well as programs and products; selecting appropriate materials to support content; and evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs. Registration restrictions include: Required Advanced Nutrition and Medical Nutritional Therapy or the equivalent within the past three years. Prerequisite(s): M.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics degree graduate student or permission of the instructor. Corequisite(s): NUTR 551 .
