THTR 369 - Plots and Characters: Comic Theatre 3 s.h.
An examination of traditional plots and stock characters from their origins in comedies of Greece and Rome and their transformations and variations through the major periods of comedy in Western Theatre. Staging theory and techniques will be discussed and demonstrated as well as theories of comedy and humor with examples of comic texts. A-E Only. Offered every third spring semester or by demand.
