This course provides an introduction to the common terms and concepts required for understanding international relations and politics in developed and developing nations. Tailored for new majors and non-majors, this course familiarizes students about the comparative analysis of political systems and the study of international politics by exploring topics such as authoritarianism, democratization, elections, human rights, political economy, realism, functionalism, international law, international organization, deterrence, balance of power politics and diplomacy.
