CRJ 295 - Teaching Assistantship in Criminal Justice 1 s.h. - 3 s.h.


This course provides a college level experience for students who are exceptionally qualified to undertake appropriate responsibilities and activities to support the teaching of a Criminal Justice course, under direct supervision of a faculty member. They will aid in preparing material for teaching, leading discussions, preparing and advising fellow students on assignments or papers, and helping with exam preparation. The specific responsibilities, amount of credit and assessment criteria must be outlined in a written agreement between the faculty member and the student prior to the start of the course. Students must meet college requirements for teaching assistantships and complete the application. May be repeated for a total of 12 semester hours.
Prerequisite(s): JrS and “B” or better in the course in which they will be assisting, instructor permission.
