One-semester survey of biochemistry. Topics include the structure and function of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. Covers enzyme kinetics, mechanism and regulation, cell signaling and metabolism. Includes 3 hour laboratory. P/F option. Offered Fall and Spring. LA Prerequisite(s):CHEM 221 or CHEM 226 C- or better.
