 |  BIOL 322 - Bryology  4 s.h.  This course will cover the structure and function of bryophtes including anatomy, morphology, physiology, evolution and life histories. In addition, the ecological role of these often overlooked organisms in a diversity of ecosystems from forests to wetlands will be explored. Laboratory sessions will include macro- and microscopic examination of the major groups of bryophytes. Field trips will cover field sampling methods and the preparation of a bryophyte collection. Lecture and Laboratory.   Offered Spring only.
