ARTS 260 - Printmaking I 3 s.h.


An introductory course designed to provide creative and technical experience in several major areas of printmaking including relief, intaglio, and collagraph as well as combined processes. The theoretical framework of contemporary printmaking will be explored. Historical development of the techniques, and the dialog between these traditions and the student’s creation of an individual style will be discussed. Experience in drawing and/or design helpful. This class has an additional course fee. Offered Fall and Spring.
Prerequisite(s): ARTS 140  or ARTS 141 .
