FLAN 113 - Introduction to Sanskrit  3 s.h.

Sanskrit is the classical language of India, spanning a history of more than 3,000 years. A wealth of literature in all genres has been composed in it, and it remains the primary liturgical language of Hinduism, one of the world’s largest religions. Introduction to Sanskrit provides students with a basic familiarity with the language, including select passages from important texts, such as the Bhagavad Gita. It also exposes students to the history, mythology, literature, and religion of India.
