EDBL 695A - Internship: Leaders in Learning 1 s.h. - 5 s.h.

This course offers substantial authentic experience in clinical internship practice for candidates. The specific internship requirements are designed to foster the candidate’s ability to synthesize and apply content knowledge constructed in EDBL 614. Candidates will develop the professional skills identified for effective leaders in education. The internship is designed to engage the student in the everyday tasks of the building administrator thus providing an opportunity for the student to apply the skills and knowledge gained throughout the Educational Leadership Certification program. The focus will be on demonstrating the best proactive models for collaborative leadership. During the internship the student will develop a leadership portfolio based on an issue(s) of importance to the school. Each student is required to produce a written report on the leadership project(s) and outcomes to present at the conclusion of the program. Offered annually.
Prerequisite(s): Acceptance in the School Building Leadership program.
